i woul have to say i agree that most of them people in our country do complain alot! i work customer service and the amount of small things people make a fuss about is insane and the rudeness that we endure due to it! i grew up in Japan and didn't encounter this rude behavior until i moved back stateside! but like you said for every one rude person there's 10 nice ones that make the day better 💚 looove the art! i wanna travel that way just to see the museums an various artwork!! ivealways been fascinated!

Hi! I live in the Netherlands and work in a boba store. I have to be honest, the rudest people I helped were mostly American. But I think it might have to do with the American wages in hospitality? I noticed that service in the USA is extremely different from what we are used to in Europe. People work extra hard for those tips in the US, right? Here, its really not mandatory at all. It is welcome ofcourse. What I'm trying to say is that people here are more likely to treat a customer the way they are treated. Thats how I see it. Nevertheless, I've also met super kind Americans, it really depends on the person too. Great read btw! I Love cultural differences and reading about them. I hope you enjoy the rest of Europe and can't wait to see you guys in Amsterdam Melkweg soon! - Cherie

I am absolutely loving this newsletter Nick! I love hearing about your adventures and your perspective on things. I'll be upgrading my subscription when I get paid this week! I have to tell you that I know you weren't looking for sympathy but my heart broke when you said you felt uneasy /paranoid. I've never traveled abroad but I have heard from friends that have that they had wonderful experiences and also not so positive ones. I'm glad that the majority of your experiences were positive ones! I hope that from here on out you won't have that uneasy feeling and that you enjoy this tour to the fullest. Italy is definitely a place I'd like to visit someday...and if I do that delicious pasta and gelato is on my list of must haves! Hope you guys have an amazing 1st show 🧡🤘

I may not know the experience of traveling abroad, but I struggle with paranoia much like what you described.. whenever I’m in public I constantly worry that people are watching & judging me, I always feel like they must see how awkward I am & can probably tell I have no idea what I’m doing! I honestly feel like it’s gotten worse since the pandemic; I got so used to being isolated at home that now going out & being perceived by others makes me even more anxious! I’m still trying to work on facing those fears, but knowing that someone I admire goes through a similar thing is very comforting & helps me feel less alone <3 I hope you continue to meet kind people & enjoy your travels, that food looks delicious & the art pieces are so cool!

Good Luck for the tour.

Sadly the global pandemic has made people either impatient and nasty or chill and go with the flow, I liked it made us slow down and appreciate what we have.

Being able to attend live gigs again has been amazing, I stop and live in the moment and barely even get a pic now. I’d rather people took their time and felt happier 💖

Covid really took a toll on America and I like to think some people learned how to be kinder during it but that’s just my take 🤷🏻‍♀️. I’d be curious to know how Italy’s gelato and expresso compares to America! It always look amazing

Finally getting around to reading these. I have to admit I feel that guilt coming from the U.K. I don’t think English people are very well received either. I would like to express to you though (if it helps) I don’t assume all Americans are bad. In my opinion, the individual is often lovely, very caring and not afraid to express positivity towards others. British people are not so good at supporting others.

To add, I’m jealous you’re getting to see all this beautiful art. I miss being able to freely visit museums and art galleries. Did you visit any in the U.K.?
